Great for arthritic hands and weak grip.

These are exactly what I needed. My range of motion within my wrist is limited and my grip has weakened in my hand. I am able to eat without overextending in discomfort. Wish I would have gotten them sooner.Bending them to the right position wasn't too difficult, although I did need a little assistance with bending the fork more.

surprisingly perfect

I've tried several different kinds of these tools and none have worked out until this one, which shocked me since I had the least amount of faith in it because the pictures make it look cheap. It's the only one that holds eating utensils securely without flopping or twisting around. The ones that you velcro just have way too much play in them but this one is a snug fit and stays in place and holds things like spoons and forks tightly. I ended up buying 3 more in case I lose them. highly recommend.

Helpful device for independence

Sturdy construction. The elastic portion has a good amount of stretch. This fit on both a slimmer female hand and a small but thicker male hand without being so tight as to be uncomfortable nor was it loose enough to be unstable. The sewing is neat, there are no loose threads. If you sew you know it is important to backstitch at the end of your seam and this is well backstitched. I don't expect it to unravel with use. The faux leather portion holds my utensil well enough. While the piece has the 'new' smell if you sniff it close up, there is no noxious odor detected, nor do you smell the 'new' unless you put it closer to your face than it would come while feeding yourself with a utensil. The device is small enough to keep in your kitchen drawer with your utensils for when you need to use it.

Thank you

Bought these for my dad who was on Hospice care, he got to use them for a month before he passed. He had the top knuckle of his thumb and the two top knuckles of his index and middle fingers amputated over the course of the prior few years due to diabetes, later developed neuropathy and during his last year there was a significant decline in his dexterity. I got them for him for Christmas because it broke my heart to see him so discouraged having such a hard time feeding himself/constantly dropping his utensils. I'm grateful that I was able to help him hold onto a little more of his independence during his last month.

Ok item for someone who has a hard time hanging onto silverware

Works ok for my husband since he has neuropathy in his hands. Only thing is that the tines are not sharp to poke into a steak or porkchop.

Eating made easier

My husband's Parkinson's has created a loss of range of motion along with gripping issues. He confidently feeds himself with less food making to the floor for our waiting dog. I have taken these with us for dinner our and just bring them home to wash.

Appears to be imitation leather

Works but is good priced. Comes apart after about 6 months use.

Very helpful

I bought these for my husband who's hands are very swollen from something we're still trying to diagnose. It's been difficult for him to grip things. He has mostly used the fork so far and says it helps a lot. I'm thinking of buying another set to take with us when we go out for meals.

Independence Assisted

I am a quadriplegic from a stroke I endured a couple of years ago and this last year as I'm starting to progress in a positive way towards recovery and abilities, this simple magnificent instrument has helped me to be able to do things for myself that I otherwise could not do. I use this mostly for holding a stylus pen so that I can use it for my tablet and phone. This allows me to be able to call, text, email and create documents! Oh and now I'm able to do my makeup by myself :-) This leather band is quite durable, comfortable and life changing.

User friendly.

This product did not work well for my family member due to the wider hand wrap. It caused more struggles than an average spoon.

I like the darker color leather, it will hide stains. Perfect for ADL applications

Universal cuff

Good price . My wife has termers and this helps stabilize the utensil in her hand standard dinner ware will work in this devise.

It holds fork or spoon nicely

The media could not be loaded.

This strap fits my hand snugly. It fit my spoon just fine. It was easy to insert the spoon. Spoon or fork can be inserted from either side. This makes it possible to wear on either hand. The elastic band is good quality and firm. The top part is smooth. The stitching looks like high quality.

Effective

Effective but you need to make sure you get the correct size. No room in case your hand swells.

Utensil moves in cuff.

Good concept, but the opening for spoon was so large the spoon wiggled in the cuff

Wide spoon if you have big mouth

The spoon is quite large even for an adult. The fork is “normal” size. The handgrip and strap appear to be well made. I will provide update on durability of metal after repeated bends.

Won’t use

They don’t feel as strong as I thought they should. My mother has essential tremors, and her Dr and I thought these would help. She won’t use them at this point, but I’m keeping them in the drawer just in case she changes her mind. I’m giving them a 3 star because she wasn’t happy with the way they looked and feels that they draw attention to her problem.

Simple but effective

This is a simple but effective device. Easy to slip a spoon or fork in and use it. I don't think it's values correctly though - I'd say $25 would be more than enough, not $40.

It works

I've never heard of anything like this utensil holder so, of course, I'm thinking why didn't I think of that? It is very simplistic, basically a large band with a second piece sewn on top and it is made to hold an eating utensil like a toddler does: gripping the utensil with their hand around the utensil. If their hand opens or weakens, the utensil remains attached by the band. The reason I'm giving this a four star rating is (1) If the band were adjustable in sizing (think vel#ro), it would be more comfortable. (2) The band is somewhat stiff and the inside seams were uncomfortable on my hand. If this were being used by an elderly person with thinner and more delicate skin, I believe their skin would be damaged. (3) Lastly, I am disappointed this wasn't made to also hold a utensil for people eating the usual way, but who need a little help. It could have been easily done. I think this is a good starter band and certainly worth the money.

Best tool ever in helping those with tremor issues!

We were so excited to find a product that really works in helping my husband, who has difficulty eating because of neurological/tremor issues. It gives him more control, which is fantastic!! I ordered the 3" and returned it for the next size up because it was so tight, so be sure to measure correctly.

Helpful Adaptive Cuffs (Thoughtful Purchase)

I ordered these for an elderly family member, and they’re a really thoughtful adaptive tool if someone has a weak grip or struggles holding utensils, pens, or other daily items. The cuff design makes it easier to stabilize objects without needing the same hand strength, and the elastic strap helps keep it secure and usable. This is one of those “small product, big dignity” items — it supports independence and makes everyday tasks less frustrating.

Bought this for a Neighbor…

My neighbor, who had a stroke, says this was just what they needed! They love the quality (thought it was a wood handle at first glance) and it is comfortable to hold, is a good size, and not heavy. My neighbor says they are able to bend the utensils themselves and use them easily…
